How to uninstall a framework on DC/OS

For data services that have been installed from Universe or through the use of an --options.json, you should never go to the "Services" pane of DC/OS and click on the destroy button in an attempt to uninstall the framework from DC/OS.

Today such an operation will leave tasks orphaned and some framework state is left behind in Zookeeper.

As a result, cluster resources will continue to be utilized when you expect the destroy operation from the services pane of DC/OS to free them up.

Please make sure to check the documentation on this to successfully uninstall:

https://docs.mesosphere.com/1.8/usage/managing-services/uninstall/

and for complex frameworks like Kafka or HDFS there's a specific section in the documentation:
https://docs.mesosphere.com/1.8/usage/service-guides/kafka/uninstall/
https://docs.mesosphere.com/1.8/usage/service-guides/hdfs/uninstall/

The uninstall operation from the Services pane of DC/OS will be fully functional for the SDK certified frameworks with DC/OS 1.10.
